Started from a very noble cause to protect & save a single blind cow in year 1982 by Mr. Bhailal Bhai Pendavala in a 5400 square foot area, Andh Apang Gau – Aashram Wankaner, is now Gujarat’s most caring trust for cows protecting and saving more than 1100 cows in an area of over 8 acres in Wankaner, Gujarat – India.

At Wankaner Gau Aashram, all the members are on a mission to help, protect & save all kinds of cows in surrounding area. Be it dumb, deaf, blind, handicapped, victim of acid attack, injured or any cows who need help.

At Gau Aashram, we have 17 shades for cows including 4 shades specially for food storage. We also have open area to help cows gaze freely.

In every shades, we have music system through which we regularly play religious music including Ramayana, Bhagvat Gita and Bhajan – Kirtan.

There is also a CHABUTARO for birds to help them stay and eat in natural environment.

We believe that God has given us a lot and it is our duty to protect the wild life including forests and animals, and as per our Hindu and Sanatan Dharma, cow is the holiest animal on this planet and we consider cows as our Mother as it’s whole life past through only giving to the human beings.

From milk it gives us the ultimate food for our body, from dung, it gives us the ultimate fertilizer for corp in farming.

We believe that not only Hindu, but all human kinds should not only thank but also take responsibility to save & protect such holy animal on our planet.

At Wankaner Andh Apang Gaushala, our aim is to provide all the necessary help to cows which are handicapped or in any trouble.

At Andh Apang Gau Aashram, our mission is to protect the holiest animal, cow, which are facing any problem in surrounding area.

Our prime focus always on saving and protecting cows of all kinds by providing lifetime shelters with love and care.

We want to make every citizen realize how cows are useful for human beings in many ways without them, it is difficult to imagine human life.

Our commitment is to provide lifetime shelter for all the cows. We take extra care for those which are injured or handicapped.

Our regular medical checkup and treatment plays an important role for protecting and saving more than 1100 cows in Aashram. We have also left some open area with grass and trees to allow gazing all the cows freely.

At Andh Apang Gau Aashram – Wankaer, we not only protect, save and help cows which are handicapped, injured, deaf, dumb or in any condition, but we also started Gau Samvardhan by focusing on getting best breed in future with the help of Gujarat’s famous Gir Gai (Gyr cattle).

At Andh Apang Gau Aashram Wankaner, we are also planning to produce panch gavya products using cow dung and gau mutra.

As the daily expense of the organization is INR 50,000, it will not only help economically to the organization, but will also help to promote organic products in the modern days.
